Although I'm new to the Savage, one of the things I saw I didn't like about it was the saddle and the pillion seat. I ordered a replacement from Saddlemen and put them on today. The Savage looks like a million times better to me. Which brings on my comment about reworking an old one. The replacement was about $230. The Suzi factory seat set is really cheaply made thing, a poly (milk carton) frame verses fiberglass pan and steel mounting points on the Saddlemen. They also inserted gel pads in the drivers seat. The quality of the vinyl/leather is great with real stitching.
Which brings me to my question, is the old poor quality frame worth rebuilding?
